Here in China a second hand xpro 3 is more than a second hand X-T5.. but this thread really got me thinking I’d like an autofocus option with all my M lenses. I have VC 21 1.4 and 3.5, 50 1.0, 90 2.8 and 75 2.0, mr ding 50 1.1, LLL 35 2.0 and 50 2.0 After collecting all these lenses, it feels crazy to add a Q3 for an autofocus option just because it’s a Leica brand. I personally love using different focal lengths depending on mood so the Fuji option sounds great.. thanks for the insightful info here
I wanted to give an update on my second LM-EA9. It's working great and hasn't had any issues. My first copy was a bit flaky and ended up dying completely. So far, so good!
That’s great to hear! Did you have to buy a second one or was it replaced under warranty?

Initially, I believed it was only capable of driving small lenses; however, it turns out it can also handle heavier M mount lenses. This might, however, reduce the motor's lifespan.

If your lens is heavy but your camera body is light, hold the camera and lens by the lens instead of the camera when the adapter is autofocusing.

Thank you, Fred, for the tip. Yes, if you don't hold the lens those tiny motors won't be able to push it forward.
Curious if any one has compared the LM-EA9 to the TZM-02 for the nikon zm? Im looking to adapt my m mount lenses and have AF but am stuck between the two platforms. Specifically curious about low light AF performance
Simply connect the adapter to the dock, and then connect the dock to your computer. Open the app, choose the firmware you want to update, or if needed, you can also downgrade to a previous version.

"Thank you for your continued patronage of TECHART products.
At this time, TECHART has decided to stop releasing the firmware update Ver.1.7.0.
If you have performed the update, please stop using the LM-EA9 and wait for further instructions from the manufacturer.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding."
This is strange! Firmware version 1.7.0 has been removed from the updater app options.
It’s possible to revert to version 1.6.0, though.
I didn’t see any warning on their page, but if this is the case, there might be an issue with the firmware that could harm the adapter. It’s probably better to stop using version 1.7.0 or revert back.
It seems Techart hasn’t reinstated the 1.7.0 firmware on their update app. I’ve been using 1.6.0 without any problems.
I wanted to mention that the LM-EA9 adapter performs significantly better with the Sony A7CR. In my review, I tested it with the Sony A9, A7R II, A74 and A7CR, and the new camera notably enhances its performance. AF tracking is now much more effective and Eye AF is both more reliable and precise. It’s truly a game changer for me!
