Boy Greg you sure do not not lack for great wildlife subjects where you live. Have you ever had one of the many large moose you photograph take unkindly to your presence.

Lot of moose where I live. It's usually just me and the moose so I'm very lucky to be able to shoot them with nobody around. I have never had any issues with any of the bulls. Cows are a different story, they make me nervous. I have watched them go crazy for no reason. I'm super careful around them. They have never charged but I've gotten some pretty nasty looks from them.
There are only a few hours left in the year, so here is my fourth of four for 2022.
I enjoy photographing the Grebes at Lake Hodges so this is my second Grebe shot in this thread.
This Grebe male had just brought a fish for his mate, who seemed to appreciate it, and he is doing what the Grebes sometimes do, celebrating by squirting water out of his bill so that drops descend around him.
Last day of 2022 and wish everyone with many more of great captures in 2023.

One bobcat, likely the same one, had been hunting waterflows in this park for a couple weeks but I was never able to get a nice clean picture of it. It would chase them into the lake and then quickly retrieved back into the brushes. One day on my way to the edge of the lake, it was simply sitting there enjoying the sunshine and staring back at me.
