Excellent work, Heron. I love the long shutter effect with moving water and it's perfect in this image. I had the same reaction as Kent, that it resembles an hourglass.

Excellent composition and processing. I like how you let the shadows go black - I'm a sucker for contrast and that works well here. Reminds me of many quiet cloudy days walking the beaches here in the NW.

Thanks Jim, it's interesting how long exposures evoke peace and quiet. It was anything but when I shot this, with a waterfall 10 ft behind me, gusting winds, and surging surf
