These are some smart-looking captures here. There is one here in our neighborhood, but she doesn't take very good care of the squirrel over-population.

Thank you Douglas I feed my squirrels an assortment of nuts to keep them plump and healthy from November to March and they are usually too big for the hawks to attack. The squirrels love the black oil seed mixed in with the bird seed. The Doves seem to be an easier and more abundant target.

Thank you Greg I was lucky he did not fly away when I setup the tripod and put my focus point on the red zone.
My R3 arrives tomorrow and I hope he returns for an eye test.
Gorgeous shots Dragonfire! Love the contrast and details in the hawk! Also love the boca. Hopefully the hawk will return when you have your R3, would love to compare those shots and see the results!

The Redtail was successful yesterday.
