I am very late posting to this thread but the images are wonderfully tender and beautifully captured. It must have been a very thrilling and satisfying venture. Just fantastic.....

Do you mind if I ask what lens you were using, how far from the subject and were they aware of your presence?

Mama Moment - Leopard - Nikon D5 and 400mm 2.8 - its a full frame image. They were aware of presence.
Mama Moment - Cheetah - Nikon D5 and 400mm 2.8 - its a full frame image. They were aware of presence.
Mama Moment - Lion - Cannon 1Dx Mark I along with 600mm f4 ISII USM. They were aware of presence.

I was based in Dubai till 2019, and a was conservation speaker for Nikon Middle East. I used to get equipments for testing and for workshops.
My approach in photography, is spending maximum time with a species, so far that really helped me in understanding animal behavior and in making frames. In the field, 99% of the time, i think they are aware of our presence. I haven't done hide photography yet...

Thank You! I only wanted this for my memory. I worked on a "live cat" rescue of 2 years and I had 1 female black panther that I adored and she, well, tolerated, me with out any animosity.
