I like how you took it. What's going on in this country and the rest of world is depressing enough, we don't need to take our hobby too seriously. Two shots from the dog walk this morning.

Nice! You should consider linking from your Flickr instead of uploading, as these both look so soft that they almost appear OOF, where your flickr shots never exhibit that.

Thanks Scott! I notice that too recently. The pictures look very sharp in LR on my 4K screen but after I uploaded them to FM they look like shxt. Not sure what's going on. As least my pictures taken with Sony look like shxt on FM too. I export the file from LR, set the max. file size to 1.7MP, resolution at 2000 pixel per inch. I have noticed all my recent pictures posted on FM look pretty mushy. I have been wondering why. I know the compression effect but it wasn't like this before.

Love your work with the Sony system and look forward to more amazing shots with the Nikon setup. In focus\out of focus and all ..
Lance, those are gorgeous photos, great angles on the birds and stunning colors. You must either have access to a wonderful bird preserve, or are a magnet for attracting songbirds to pose for you.
Great work with the 800 PF!

Thank you very much, Carmel. Much appreciated!
It is springtime and they are all in their breeding plumage but I also go looking far and wide.
Was messing around with Snapbridge a bit with both the CV 40/2 and Z 50/1.8, I was a bit surprised to see that you don't get focus confirmation while remote shooting with the Ultron. Makes it tough!

A few shots from yesterday. The eagles were very very far away, not much details left after cropping but that's what I was dealt with. I like the background with the autumn foliage colors though.
The Z9 did a great job picking out the great blue heron's eye.
