Spanish moss hanging from a large live oak, Florida
Growing up as a kid in FL, my dumb-arse used to wear that and pretend like we were old men and that was our gray hair and beards. Everyone says you get red bugs from it but I think that's an old wives tale. If you happen to be heading to St Augustine from Orlando you need to check out Magnolia Street (street the fountain of youth is on) for that Spanish canopy street. Also, great cuban coffee place across from Fountain of Youth.
Saw this common goldeneye with a clam last week. I watched it until it swam out of sight. Only when I got home and started post-processing did I realize that the clam had clamped onto the bill of the duck. I wonder how long it hung on... Image shot wide open with the Z9 and the 600mm f/4 TC at 840mm.

Ah yes, we were told to avoid that moss because it was full of chiggers, when we lived in Tampa for four years.
Some back yard photos from this morning. We had 5 inches of snow here in Myrtle BEach which is VERY unusual! The Robins were all over the Holly Tree getting berries!
