I’ve been watching the actions between the adults, both female and male, and their young over the past two months, shooting hundreds of shots to get the few that I have here. The harassing by the young never stops, they follow the adults around literally from branch-to-branch begging for whatever the adults are feeding on.

Thanks very much Dave, the Pileated Woodpeckers have sure given me a lot of pleasure, they show up in my backyard most everyday.

Hi Bruce, these guys are in my backyard everyday so my shooting distance is only about 30 feet or so. Fun to watch the actions by the different Woodpeckers and how they interact. Thanks for taking a look.
