I went on a kayak outing yesterday with family and friends in a gorge about a half hour from home. Since there was a very good chance of getting tossed out, which I did, I chose not to bring any camera gear. While waiting by the put in I noticed these Cedar Waxwings going back on forth on a tree overhanging the water. So I went back this morning, this time with the camera instead of the kayak. This is the first time I've ever gotten a good look at these beautiful birds.

Thanks all for the input. Very much appreciated. Looking at the trees in the background, those leaves should start turning in a few weeks or so which could make for some different color. The only question is will the birds still be there in a few weeks ?
