Bologna has over 24 miles of Porticoes in the old town section alone. Here are two I found, the first is a newer version and the second is an older version.
Since you have such a good eye for the square, I'm curious if you've ever shot in 6x6 format. I really liked the 80mm Planar for that and wonder if you deliberately chose the 40mm rather than the 35mm Nokton. The 1.2 35mm is pretty much equivalent to the 2.8 80mm at 6x6 in terms of 24x24mm. I'm asking out of pure curiosity.
Thank you. I used the 6x6 format for several years, then I switched to digital and struggled with the 2x3 for a long time. I watched a series of YTs featuring Bruce Percy and decided to try square format for a few months and have never looked back. Mr. Percy uses color but has a very monochromatic look to them. I have always printed in B&W and have never been any good with color.
You are correct that 35mm would be more like the 80mm on 6x6, but I went with the Z-mount native Voigtlander instead of adapting. The Hasselblad Historical Society has some interesting information on their website to determine focal length equivalents.
With the Sun low in the sky as the season changes, I was out to capture the Trumpeter Swans before they depart south. The light was amazing at Potter Marsh Anchorage AK- Nikon Z8 Voigtlander 50 mm F2 apo.
