Something that still amazes me is how different NYC "light" is today. As a kid in the '60s and '70s, when you drove into The City, it was a brown hazy dome on the horizon (as was LA). I remember my eyes burning at the end of a day visiting.
The light today is often crystal clear and "chromic" and it stands out each time I step out. It's very nice, but still seems a bit weird, like you've returned to a very different place, which it is.
Probably picking up a Z5 II soon and was wondering what people’s favorite Voigtlander is. I really like 40mm since I use a GR IIIx so the 40mm f1.2 is attractive, but I’m also gonna get the Nikon 40mm f2 so maybe the VL would be too redundant.

I have both, and I don't think they're redundant. They just offer two different ways of working with 40mm. The 40 f/2 has been on my Z8 a lot lately, but this summer I shot the 28 f/1.5 Nokton and 40 f/1.2 Nokton a lot. As inexpensive as the 40 f/2 is, I think it's worth having around either way.
