My wife's grandparents. Doc and Sarah Broschart, MD. ME. circa1959 - Rode to his patients on his horse. Did not take a "visit" fee from the lesser incomed people. Did take fresh vegetables and the like though for "services rendered". Was the Montgomery County Medical Examiner and Fire Dept doc for a long time.
The photo in the kitchen is quite "dated". Curtains, sink and doors underneath, G'mom and cigarette.......ladies underwear

I am getting a "link error" for the Washington Post Obit of his life. Just Google Frank J. Broschart, obit if further info needed. It's colorful.
Members..I hate not having other entries for others to view and vote on. Only one is really not an "assignment" for only 1 entry!
So PLEASE try to enter with a image suitable for the WA-Subject! Makes it more enjoyable for all! I understand that some assignments have members not interested or not having time or opportunities to post an entry but this is FUN...Or it is supposed to be!
There is much latitude in the subject matter posted.

Honestly I am not thrilled that I am the only participant "sb40"!
I have asked Fred some time ago to only allow a WA vote if there are at least 2 participants. I am sure some one else could have entered an entry of some kind in this weeks WA.
Just feels like a "vacant" win IMHO!
I enjoy the WA/MA because it is fun and requires me to actually think about the assignment and produce an entry. I enjoy other members "take" on the theme and how they post their entry.
No my birthday is in June! I dont need to get any older sooner....I will get there anyway. After 50 I try not to count them.

Dan- I hear you, kinda weird to be in it all by yourself, happened to me. Like you, I have enjoyed assignments on Flickr groups and starting to enjoy them here as well. For now, enjoy the quiet ride :-)

Yeah, I was just messing with ya.......I get what you are saying.....I sometimes do a pic in the WA but have been busy the last couple of weeks with holiday and health issues......I'll give you a good run on this next one, OK?

Oh believe me I understand why time can hamper members from participating. As I said I would rather Fred just say "well only 1 entry so let's wait until the next WA and hopefully there will be more participants!"

Yes I understand the solo running! Not fretting per se'. Just like an assortment of entries to see and for members to have a choice!
