🤗 so pumped. this is me imagining but ideally they were just trying to figure out a way to allow the lever to actually have a meaningful function (similar to RD1) aside from the already useful thumb grip. a man can dream

It appears that this could be the also rumored Leica Q-E based on the registered camera (Leica Type 2221) supporting only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11n), similar to the Leica Q2. Therefore, the Q-E could be a more affordable option compared to the Q2.
We will likely learn more on the embargo date of May 16th.

Curious how you found out about the GHz being 2.4 for the Type 2221?Thanks.
When I posted my previous message, only Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz was listed on the FCC document, but it has since been updated to include 5.8 GHz WI-FI. Therefore, I believe this could indeed be the new Black Paint M11-D.
Regarding this perhaps new M11-D.
I am not clear on how one could (if one wanted to) access the menus. Somewhere I read the last one could access the menu items via an EVF. If this one has that then it works for me, but not being able to easily access menus would be very troublesome for me. Heck might just as well use an M11 then.
yes this part is definitely a consideration since you would need to connect to the phone app or EVF as you mentioned. if you tend to go into menus often then m11 might be a better option. I will say in the few years I used the M10D I hardly ever found myself going into the menus, I can maybe count in 1 hand the times that I did and even then it was just to remind myself what was in there.

Your post reminded me that the Foto App might be the answer and if that is the case then I will pass.

While I personally prefer Tilt LCD screens, the Swivel LCD option is advantageous for those who prefer not to have the LCD available during shooting. Many other mirrorless cameras with swivel LCD screens also offer this "feature."
I used that with my Sony A7 IV and A7C cameras.
I suspect Leica will offer the user menu items via the Fotosapp which I must admit I do not need nor use on any of my other Leica cameras-M11, M11M, Q3. SL2S nor SL3. Thus that might be why I will let this one pass me by. We shall see in June how it actually functions. If menu items viewable via the Viso2 then I would be a happier camper.

Could that be the reason for the delay?
If Leica regains their courage, the M11-D would have no menu, just like the M-D Typ 262!
