Since you're using it on the same body I would, I have a couple of specific questions for you. Do you find you always need to punch in to focus, or can you rely on peaking alone, using the EVF? Wide open, and at f8..?
What are your overall impressions of the ergos of the lens on the A7cII? Since it's very small, do you find you need to "reach" for it too much, to focus?
My last question is a bit off topic.. do you remember if the last photo was outside a denim shop or something..? The figure looks remarkably like the one the japanese brand Momotaro use on their jeans patch, and other branding. I found that the plane of focus peaking is quite narrow with this lens regardless of aperture and focus distance (kind of similar focus behavior to Macro APO-Lanthar 65/2, 50/2 and 35/2 lenses there). Since I could rely on hard infinity with my Rayqual adapter I just rammed the focus to hard infinity when shooting very long distance shots (typically at f8), but I noticed that if my focus target in long distance shots was somewhere within ~30m range, it was better to focus a hair closer and then I usually punched in to check the plane of focus more carefully. Wide open at close range with most lenses I just relay on peaking on full view and don't punch in most of the time but with this lens I was punching in a bit more than usual since I was noticing that the plane of focus seems quite narrow.
I found the ergos to be very nice for my use. The focus feel is very good with just the right amount of resistance and I could use the tab very easily and focusing action feels very natural / ease to use.
I didn't pay much attention to the shop where I saw the Momotaro figure at the shop entrance (I didn't know the name of the figure / shop until you mentioned it), and I just liked the look of it as a photo subject, but since you asked about it I was able to find the shop on Google Maps and some of the shopfront photos on the Google Maps entry confirmed that it was this shop:

Thanks Fred! I also like the colors of this lens quite a bit. I find the Color-Skopars to usually have fairly punchy colors and strong contrast, which is to my liking as well.
I guess the lenses should come back in stock in Tokyo stores in a few weeks (latest in October) but I was impatient to get one now that I had recovered my lens budget after the recent purchases

I just received my Color Skopar, bought on Ebay from Cyprus as our Canadian availability and service is abysmal. I ordered it exactly two weeks ago and here it is.
A short check on an M11 showed it to be good as far as centering and focussing. It's no Apo-Lanthar, but certainly a very competent everyday lens and wonderfully compact. I'll be comparing it to my other 50's (App-Lanthar, Summilux ASPH, Elmar-M) but not the Noctilux f/1, LLL Elcan or 1932 Nickel Elmar as those have quite different roles.

I'd be interested in hearing how you feel like it compares to your Elmar-M, between that and the LLL Elcan those are some of the newer compact choices for 50. Also compared to your Summilux since that's what I have as well. I'm looking at one of these 50/2.2 lenses for a compact walkaround.
This lens is very unique and standout above all other lenses in the following aspect:
I used it using Canon R8 and Nikon Z5, and Panasonic S1R, and Sony A7R2. in regardless of brand name,
the images from different brands display uniformly excellent color and great sharpness, and
well compatible without loss its great trait and fineness.

I will shoot it against the Elmar-M (which I've had since about 1996) and the LLL Elcan in the next week on my M11 and M10M. Those cameras show optical weaknesses quite well. I'll also shoot some with the Summilux, which is also fairly old as I was one of the first in Western Canada to get one.
Resolution and rendering are the two items that I will be most interested in. Chromatic aberrations are a bit lower on my scale of sensitivities and distortion seems to be a non-issue. Vignetting is high, but I have to compare it to the other lenses. The Skopar might be f/2.2 in the center, but in the corners might be t/5.6, in which case the Elmar would better it. Fred suggested that coding it as a 50/1.2 works reasonably well, so I'll try that. Sunstars interest me very little, nor does coma performance, although the latter usually falls in line with the resolution/astigmatism performance.

For some reason the youtube influencer thing is to way overexpose kolor C41 film all the time, and say that is the look. That of course kills saturation and often contrast. If you shoot at box speed - the horror! - these films have rich colours, great saturation and decent contrast.
Of course your relation to where the sun is in the sky/position of the light source is a huge factor.
In Japan it looks like the black version of the lens is coming back to stock in a few shops since 1st of September. For example Fujiya camera has it back in stock since 1st and a couple of other shops also show it back in stock now. Others might have had enough backorders so that it doesn't show up back in stock.
On the other hand, the silver version seems to be expected back in stock only from early November (according to info from Ogisaku's website).
Well, I've tried to compare 5 of the 50mm lenses I have at present to each other, starting with vignetting as that is a justifiable concern regarding the Color-Skopar 50mm f/2.2 lens. I've shot them against a (fairly) evenly lit surface, focussed at infinity on an M11. I've also shot them on an M10M which has produced essentially identical results, so I'm not posting them. Actually, since I made an error shooting them, I deleted them after I realized the valid shots were identical to the M11 shots.
The lens coding was turned off, and after importing to Lightroom the files were converted to B&W with the button. The centre of each shot was normalized to a Lightroom value of 64.5 ±0.2 or as close as I could get it. Each lens was shot at each aperture from wide open to f/5.6 after which the vignetting became essentially meaningless, although the two Leica lenses did show the most even illumination at f/5.6 and above.
