Circling back to this thread with some B&W images, just for fun.
I've been shooting Canon a long time. "Oldie" might mean something different to me, haha.
I'm a photojournalist by training, a people photographer by preference, and an empath by nature. When I can, I like to make intimate, candid images that reveal something about my subjects (in a respectful way)... Here are a few favorites from the archives.
"Faith Popcorn (for Microsoft)" Canon EOS-1V, EF 85mm f/1.2L, Kodak T400 CN (RIP... what a film stock this was.)
"Sharon" Canon AT-1, FD 100mm f/2.8, Kodak High Speed Infrared
"A Very Serious Funny Man (rodeo clown Johnny Gayle)" Canon New F-1, FD 35mm f/2 S.S.C., Ilford HP5
"Caring Hands" Canon New F-1, New FD 100mm f/2, Ilford HP5
"Composure" Canon New F-1, FD 35mm f/2 S.S.C., Ilford HP5
"Quiet Moment" Canon EOS 50D, EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS, ISO 200 (A favorite image from my least favorite Canon camera, haha.)
Great images in this thread---holy moly!
Here is one from a few days ago----testing a lens I've had for decades:
Canon 1d VI with 50+ year old SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4, M42-EOS adapter.
I'll have to dig for some with more vintage cameras!
Canon 1d IV, SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4 lens (50+ years old) M42 to Eos Adaptor

The oldest I have for a digital camera is the 40D.

The 20D was my first digital body coming from a Canon AE1 and Konica T3...I have had the 20D thru the 90D, still have the 90D..I love it with the built in flash for "fill flash" when needed..

Got my 5Ds in 2015. I just checked, the NBA MVP at that time was Steph Curry and the best tennis player at year-end was Novak Djokovic. Today they are still playing at a high level. With all these talks about the new A7RVI, with today's modern software---it's time to put back the 5Ds in the rotation.

"This stone-ground flour mill is believed to have been built by Mathew Wiley Sr., who acquired this land, part of a tract called "Good Prospect" between 1771 and 1781. Matthew willed the property to his son David in 1840, who left it in turn, to his sons Joseph and Matthew...."
