I love the anticipation I start feeling in late August, seeing hints of cooler weather and small changes in trees here and there, knowing September will usher in my favorite of all seasons with the childlike joy of chasing colors with my camera. I’ve pulled some of my favorite past fall images from Wyoming, Colorado, Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia to whet my appetite and to help start the plans rolling for where I’ll be heading first. I hope you enjoy some of these views, and I wish everyone great times in your own color pursuit of 2024!
Those are all wonderful shots. I'm afraid WV is going to be a bust this year. Most of the state is in a severe to extreme drought condition. Leaves are already starting to fall off many trees.
Oh yes, what wonderful collection. Really enjoyed spending some time on each scene. Great captures, beautiful light...definitely excites me for autumn! Superbly done!

Thank you! I am sorry to hear that about WV conditions. I wonder if the drought is also affecting the Blur Ridge area.
