In 2018, I was invited to a wedding in Queretaro, Mexico, which happened to be just before the Mexican Independence Day. Having just checked into a hotel in the colonial section of town, a large and colorful procession passed by, which was part of the Danza de los Concheros, a long tradition that merges pre-Hispanic and Catholic culture into a festival that at times has had both political and religious connotations. The city of Queretaro was one of the places where the tradition originated sometime after the fall of the Aztec Empire. It has since evolved in form and meaning but remains a part of Mexican cultural expression. For more information, google Danza de los Concheros. A really great set ... but wow doesn't it just remind us what a fabulous lens that EF135/2 is - not WAS but IS despite its age.
Great lenses like this don't die or become 'un-good' they just get a bit neglected in the rush for new stuff.
