These are lovely shots. We too feed them mealy worms and they are expensive !!

Thank you Birdie. I chuckled when you mentioned the expense. Yes! I was really surprised when I first bought them. That is why I rarely fill the feeder I bought for mealworms now. I mix them in with the sunflower hearts now and it saves.

Edit: I should have mentioned that the mix goes on the ground. Now, I still occasionally fill the feeder but if I do the Starlings mob it, devouring contents in short order. That is too expensive for me.

You are right Ted. Snow flurries were forecast. The meal worms were on the ground, but the shy Bluebirds had to watch and wait. Perfect set up.
