After finally figuring out where this place is and navigating a rough 4x4 road, I got to photograph this scene. I was taking some time to determine my approach when a storm rolled in and made my day. Crowley Lake, eastern California, USA.
Great image Jeffrey. Love the curving line of the top of the columns leading the eye to the dramatic rain storm. The columns look beautiful in this light.

That is an interesting location Jeffrey. Amazing what that reflected light does to the water color, almost a metallic bronze look to it.
The comp works great for me, love the curving rocks foreground taking me back to the vertical cliff with what looks like stacks of rocks ready to jump off Then the distant drama in the sky back to the mountains is just awesome and plenty of layers of depth
