I am pleased that the program is even known and used here.
Unfortunately, there are still some bugs in the new version regarding the A1 Mark II data. I hope to get them fixed as soon as possible and find more time to continue working on the program. Unfortunately, I hardly got around to it last year.

Anyway, best regards from Cologne, Wolfram
Wolfram… is it working for the A1II now?
Every time I open A7Info, I have to click multiple times to ALLOW IT ACCESS to the SD card.
I did some simple tests to see if the shutter count was working for my A1II.
When I use A7Info to look at the shutter count for my RAW photo files I normally see zero. That is because I normally have the camera set up to use the electronic shutter. All files that have been acquired using electronic shutter show zero for the shutter count.
If I change and set up to capture RAW files using the mechanical shutter, I then see a non-zero shutter count for those files. As I capture more files using the mechanical shutter the shutter count reported by A7Info for those files advances as expected.
Turning the camera off and on, also caused the shutter count to advance. This is presumably because the shutter closes when the camera is turned off and reopens when it is turned back on, so that increases the shutter count by one.
Although I have not done extensive testing, it appears to me that the shutter count is correctly reported by A7Info when examining A1II RAW files that were captured using mechanical shutter.

If you don’t have the camera to close the shutter on shut down (to protect from dust), I don’t think you wouid be adding to the shutter count.
What is the reported shutter count on your A1II using A7Info? Mine is still reading 0.

What is the reported shutter count on your A1II using A7Info? Mine is still reading 0. 1921 on the last mechanical shutter RAW file, 0 on all the electronic shutter RAW files.

1921 on the last mechanical shutter RAW file, 0 on all the electronic shutter RAW files.
With a new A1 II (and which therefore might have zero mechanical shutter actuations), the first and second RAW image files shot with electronic shutter elicit a "N/A" under "Shutter Count" from a just-downloaded Windows copy of A7Info.
Pretty obvious complication. My copy of A7Info is just reporting "N/A" as the shutter count for my A1II. The program required your experimentation and explanation of how to get shutter counts accurately by only using a file shot with mechanical shutter, which explanation must then be passed along each time the program reaches a new user. This just creates confusion. While this seems like a nice program in many ways, it creates difficulties for getting a shutter count that usually don't exist with other programs.

I agree... I thought I would be able to upload any image, and get a count. The way camerashuttercount.com used to work.
