The problem (and fun) of cameras, is that there isn't a right choice. I expect you'll enjoy the setup, but report back what you think.

Make sure you get the Leofoto grip Jim - I saw a few were still available. Even if you have to resell it it'll go fast.
I think you'll love the Om-3 - it's a really different experience to the A7r5, both fabulous cameras but the OM-3 is a ton more fun.
Haven't heard back from Lefoto yet but was doing a shoot with my A7RV today and was able to get in a few shots with the OM-3 and 12-45. Just a quick grab but edited.

Enjoying the OM-3 so far. Lefoto tells me they can not sell the grip in the USA at this point and all other options are for unreasonable prices and probably US tariffs on top. Will wait a little while to see if Leofoto works out the legal issues. In the meantime here are three images from this morning. Just to show that Florida is hard to beat for the unusual, a castle covered in tin,

Gorgeous shot Jim !
Thanks - honestly the A7RV images were better but only because they were the images I took with care rather than a quick snap.
Too soon to tell. Image quality on both is good. The obvious is also true, Om much easier to travel with. The Sony has far better cropping ability. So far Lightroom noise reduction has made noise issues virtually go away. At the moment I would say they compliment each other. I will have to see if that holds true over time.
I would be interested in hearing more about the OM-3 from an every day use case...I used to love my old EM5, which recently had a shutter failure that I can't figure out so I think it's time to retire it. Looking at a m43 replacement lately and the OM3 has piqued my interest for sure, but all I can find on OM cameras are people taking photos of birds, or obviously sponsored influencers on YouTube. I can't really find much about unbiased shooters just using OM stuff in more of an every day capacity, or maybe people just don't talk about it that much.
I have an OM System OM-3, an OM System OM-5 Mark II, an Olympus Pen-F Digital and an Olympus OM-D E-M1X; dimensions and weights are as follows:
OM-3 OM-5 Mark II Pen-F OM-D E-M1X
Length 5.48 in. 4.93 in. 4.91 in. 5.69 in.
Height 3.5 in. 3.35 in. 2.84 in. 5.78 in.
Depth 1.8 in. 1.96 in. 1.47 in. 2.97 in.
Weight 17.5 oz. 14.6 oz. 15.06 oz. 35.17 oz.
I don't notice much if any difference in image quality among all of them, but I prefer the OM-5 Mark II as my EDC because of the dimensions and weight; also, both the OM-5 Mark II and OM-3 have similar menus, so the useability is about the same.
