Even though I live in a very scenic corner of Montana (near Glacier NP), I find the rocky scenery of the Wind River Range absolutely breathtaking. I have backpacked through various sections there the last 3 Septembers.
Last year the weather was magnificent for hiking - a week of virtually cloudless days. Not the best for photography, though. However, what is not good for daytime can be great for nightscapes. The moon was waning crescent, so it threw enough light for the camera to "see" the landscape, yet not blow out the stars. Here are a few:

Nice work! I'd love to see a larger version of Circ Moonlight.
Thanks, Jim - I'll see what I can do.
FYI - That was taken with the little CV15mm f4.5. Although a bit slow at f4.5 compared to faster lenses, it's still quite a nifty little lens. I wish I could find one that was a bit sharper in the corners - still looking

Coming from a regular feature winner, that means alot to an old hacker like me!
I’ve been intrigued by the Wind River Range for years but have never made a trip there, though I’ve shot in Wyoming at Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. @graytrekker can some photo worthy areas be reached by day hikes? Or is it backpacking only?

Here is a larger version. This is the largest I can get from Flick - it isn't a whole bigger. Any larger, I would have to PM you something like a link.

Great work Doug. Like other, Cirque moonlight is my favorite. I get excited just by the thought of being able to spend the night in a location like that!

Nice to see you over here, too, Ray!
Yes - nights are a fun time, especially when the sky and atmosphere are so clear. As I mentioned before "bluebird" skies are great for hiking, postcard-type photos, etc., but not so much for more impactful daytime images. I think its a pretty good trade-off. Better than a snow storm which can easily happen at that time of year. Been there done that - not so fun on the trail

Beautiful work Doug. I too would love to see these images a little larger. Personally I upload photos directly to this site, for display, but I understand other member choose other paths. Anyway not to take anything away from the images - they are all stunning with (to me) a subtle sense of gentleness in what is a magnificent landscape. Congratulations!
