Checked out a few local spots over the past few days and came back with some decent images to share. The Belted Kingfishers I knew were there, but this was the first time I had been able to get in position. The rest of them were first time at each location so that was fun.
These are beyond good! Nice finds, and that is a great portrait of the BKF, I never can get that close or get them to sit still for very long. Great work!

Thank you. The BKF has been taunting me for quite some time. He kept coming back to this same perch, so I wait for him to fly off for a bit and slowly made my way down the shore by the cliff edge. I had to stop and wait a few times before I got into position. I then just waited.
He and I have been doing this dance for a while, but this was the best I have been able to get yet. Next I need to get him fishing, but we will see.
