Studio photographers pay a lot of money to create soft light while all a nature photographer has to do is wait for a foggy day. While fog creates it's own challenges, I enjoy taking photos on a foggy day. This green heron was the first decent subject I spotted on my recent visit to the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY.
