I know this isn't technically a great picture. But it is a picture that I took and that I will forever have.
I'm sharing it because I asked lots of questions about using the 200-800 with a 1.4x TC during my trip to Yellowstone. And you were all right about the shortcomings of it. Heat haze killed the quality of most photos. And even without heat haze at 1,120mm f/13 images aren't show quality. That being said, the combo allowed me to take pictures I otherwise wouldn't have. I have lots of pictures of what were tiny dots to the naked eyes that turned out to be prong horn sheep and mountain goats and bears.
Anyways, i'll stop rambling on now. Would I like to get a 800mm f/5.6L lens? Maybe. But for now the RF 200-800mm will do.
