The Badlands are a very varied place from planes to walls of rocks. In places there have been landslides off of the walls of rocks and the broken sandstone provides fertile soil for trees and other vegetation in this desert area. These places are where birds and other wildlife are most frequently found though they do wonder the planes and bighorn sheep love the rock walls.
