p.1 #1 · Nikkon 400mm f2.8 or Canon EF 400 f2.8 adapted
Hi all,
Its me again, after a lot of testing different options that I had in mind in person , the first option I was considering was the fuji xf500mm f5.6, I have decided that I want something else. Its a wonderful lens, light and really sharp, but its too similar to my xf150-600, Im looking for a much brighter lens and I dont care trading some weight for much more light.
I also tested a canon ef 600 f4, and it was good but a bit too long in the focal length.
After much thought I think the focal length and aperture I'm after is a 400mm f2.8, that would be a real compliment to my xf150-600 for low light situations. Still allowing me for wider shots and also more tight shots with a teleconverter.
Im debating between a Nikkor 400mm f2.8 E that I can get for 7000$ CAD or a Canon EF 400mm f2.8 II which would cost 7600$.
Im wondering if there is any advantage to either of them , I wonder if its easier/more performance to adapt canon ef than Nikkon F? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I don't have any experience with these two lenses but I can say I'm impressed with EF lens performance using a Finger adapter EF-FX. AF is not quite as fast as the newer Fuji's, about on par with older ones.
