FedX just dropped this off an hour ago. I've been wanting a wide angle for my OM-1 to take out west so I went for this 9mm. Appears to be a little gem so far. Love the build, the look, and the tiny size. I bought it for landscapes and wanting to try some astro In Arches and Bryce but I think the insanely close MFD is going to make this lens a really fun toy. I just went out into my backyard. These were all shot about an inch from the front of the lens and at 1.7. Really cool

I love my 9/1.7 it is small enough to always take and pairs well with my 12-45. Mostly use for expansive landscapes and indoors. For close-ups, the 12-45 min. focus is 5” compared to the 9 @ 4” so I only use the 9 when it is low light
What are your export settings for pics on this site? Mine always look soft when I export to make them small enough to post here.

Thank you ! I typically size them at 1650 px x 1200 px @ 300 dpi. or 4x6 inches @ 300 dpi.
Next week I'll be stopping at Garden of The Gods in Colorado, Arches, and Bryce. The only thing I had close to a wide angle was the 14-140 ll which obviously is not really very wide. I'm hoping to try some astro at Bryce as we're saying at the Bryce Canyon Lodge which is right on the trail around the amphitheater. That's why I went with the 9 1.7. So far I love it and the close focus ability is going to make it much more versatile than I was expecting.

I use the Laowa 10mm f2 lens, which has a minimum focus distance of 12cm (4.7") and a maximum magnification of up to 0.24x. Weight 125g w/o caps. Gorgeous sunstars from the 5 blades (Pana 7 blades).
Pana weight is 130g w/o caps. And it's spash-resistant so another benefit over the Laowa. That said the Pana is £440 ($530) in the UK (Pana online store) vs US$340 for the Laowa 10mm f2.
