Bold reds and angular concrete caught my eye in this Santa Fe stairwell. I loved how the lines pull you upward and downward - and the color transforms an ordinary space into something graphic.
Many things should be designed to be much more colorful and sometimes even brighter. This really brightens up everyday life in the often gray concrete jungle. I think it's a shame that people often lack the courage to use color.
Well said!
Great photo. If memory serves I took a couple photos of the same stairwell with my 16-35 Nikon *many* years ago. If correct, there is a rooftop pizza restaurant where my wife and I sat at the railing and enjoyed a wine and a pizza. We could only eat half of it so we gave the remainder to street kids when we walked out of the little mall the restaurant was in.
