p.1 #1 · Pentax 645 auto focus lenses on Fuji GFX 100S
I use DXO Photolab 8 to process my raw images. One of its features is that it has modules to automatically correct lens flaws such as pin cushion, barrel distortion ( or combinations of these). I purchased a Pentax FA 400 mm lens to use on my GFX 100S that I will use with a Fringer auto focus adapter. Does anyone know if DXO will know to apply Pentax lens corrections?

I don't know for sure but I am guessing no given the lens is a legacy lens from a discontinued system and not at all common. On the other hand telephoto primes generally have very little distortion anyway.

You might check DXO's website for information on what lens they have corrections on. I use Capture One and just looked up their list. All my Contax 645 lenses are supported and a bunch of Pentax and Mamiya older lenses. But not the FA 400mm. Still, there is a tool to make your own. Be surprised if DXO doesn't have something similar.

Wrong software, but I can report that Capture One don't have Pentax 645-lenses in their database, in case anyone wonders. They do seem to have a few Mamiyas tho, probably on account of the Phase One - Mamiya thing.

I just checked DXO's website. They support a number of Pentax Autofocus lenses, but not the 300mm f5.6 autofocus, nor the 400mm f5.6 autofocus lenses, both of which I recently purchased on ebay. Lets hope these older lenses do not have some wild uncorrectable traits!
Thanks again
Dave
