The photo of the 6 grain bins is magnificent! The light was just right; coupled with a wonderfully moody sky.
Thank you! I tried a shot up against the barbed wire fence after I took the image I posted but by that time the sun had disappeared behind the clouds. So I'll settle for the image with the fence in it.
I feel guilty for posting so many images but I'd like to continue to show how this camera performs for me, especially for infrared. All of these are taken with a 760nm filter which will be replaced by an 850nm filter soon. The 15-45mm lens continues to be a gem. I took these on Sunday, 11/30.
If anyone ever doubted the capability of M cameras in the right hands, all they’d have to do is look at the photos posted in this thread. I replaced my M6.2 with an R7 and I’m not sorry I did, but …… dang, you guys are good.
I haven't shot any IR for a while. I took my camera with me to a park today when I took my dogs for a walk and took a picture of the weeping willow tree.
Not many EOS M series shooters I guess. I shot these all with a 590nm red filter. I found the bare skies to be blotchy. I'm not sure how to remedy that.
I still cannot believe how well the 15-45mm lens performs for IR. If you know anything about wide angles and infrared, you would know it is extremely difficult to find a lens that is sharp across the frame at wider angles than 35mm. At 15mm (I almost always shoot at f8) this lens performs extremely well, with just a little softness in the extreme corners. All the way through the zoom range even at 45mm it perfects amazingly. So if you want a nice and compact system for shooting infrared, take a look at the EOS M series camera with a 15-45mm lens. And then add the 55-200mm lens to have a nice two lens setup.
These were all taken this past weekend using an 850nm filter.
What conversion service did you use? What configuration?
Thank you. I bought it already converted and it is full spectrum. I have just two lenses, the 15-45mm and 55-200mm and I have 590nm, 850nm and an IR Cut filter for each lens.

I have been testing out DSLR infrared cameras to try and take the place of my M5? Why? Oddly enough (for infrared) the EVF. I want to get away from using EVFs but for infrared it's actually a benefit. Haven't decided anything but I did take 4 different infrared cameras with me today and took this shot with my M5.
