New user here I find the included lens hood worthless. Anyone no of any alternatives? If I have any sun in my photo its washed out . I place my hand over lens its fine. Anyone else notice this? Thanks Mac
no it dosent come out far enough, I have no other Cameras with this problem ahhh. I added duct tape around it. No issues but dont want to walk arond with duck tape around the lens hood lol.
Several decades ago, collapsible rubber lens hoods were quite popular. They tend to be fairly deep compared to stock hoods. I still use them, every once in awhile, when I need a good screen from the sun. They are usually available on E-Bay.

Thats what i went with rubber hood. also on close inspection the uv filter that came with camera was really dirty and was a pain to clean thats what was causing flare all good now. Thanks
If anyone remembers the Sony 828 its nickname was Purple monster . Well my 100rf is the new purple monster , The CA is awful . I wound up returning it.
