“Meet the iT32 iFlash Camera Flash & X5 TTL Wireless Flash Trigger — a modular lighting system built for ultimate versatility and efficiency. When paired with different X5 versions, one iT32 flash body seamlessly adapts to Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and OM System cameras, offering full TTL and HSS support across brands.
The X5 functions as both a hotshoe and wireless trigger, enabling instant transitions between on-camera use, off-camera freedom, and complex multi-light setups.
Compact yet powerful, the iT32 & X5 combine magnetic modularity, cross-brand compatibility, and Godox 2.4GHz wireless integration—empowering photographers to shape light effortlessly, anytime and anywhere.”
It looks like a great concept. I just hope the touchscreen is not afflicted with the usual touchscreen issues: unpredictable random mis-settings due to accidental touches, and a lock setting that has to be re-locked every time the flash is turned off and back on again.
Looks nice, but how do you attach to something of camera. In the video they use it only handheld of camera...
The magnet is hidden inside the part that's swallowing partly the X5 trigger...
I do have the iT30pro which has a hotshoe integrated together with the X3 trigger.
I only use Sony body's so I do not need different triggers with one flashhead.
The iT30pro is very small but with a lot of light, so very useful when you want to go with light equipment. The iT32 with trigger X5 is much bigger for the same amount of light.
The X3 trigger also works with the big flashes from Godox like the 860 or V1
I just recieved this flash and it is the coolest flash I have used. The unit has a small base which attaches to the camera hotshoe and has a transmitter. the flash unit them magneticlly attaches with strong magnets and look like a regular on camera flash. But... you can just pull off the flash unit where the two pieces connect with magneets leaving the base transmitter on the camera hotshoe and hand hold the flash portion with TTL. The unit feel very well built --better than most plastic flashes and is small and folds open flat and will fit in any pocket.

Wow.. that's fast..
Like to ask, when the flash is attached to the camera, as you twist / tilt the flash head in order to bounce, do the magnets get detached? i.e. is the magnetic grip strong enough to withstand such actions?

This is an important question. I too wonder how strong the magnets are. If not strong enough, the flash head might get knocked off, such as when bumping into something.
Can you let us know of the Sony flash menu works with this flash. It works with it30pro and found it very useful. That one was the first non Sony Flash that was able to use that menu. I was about to purchase it but like a more regular flash.

There seem to be 4 magnets which are incredibly strong. I have no worry about becoming detached by bumping although my guess someone will report doing so. I used to have early magnetic filters that came off all the time. This seems much more secure. For this flash I would suggest holding the transmitter base while pulling off the flash head to ovoid strain on the hot shoe.
Been using these awesome flashes with my X2D and A9iii (think this thread should be crossposted to the Alt forum too), the IT32 is compatible with global shutter with the recommended timing sync adjustment. The X5N Nikon variant is also compatible with both the X2D and X2D2 TTL and it just works awesomely with both. I ordered a couple more. Easy to just swap unit/channel on your controllers if you're using multi cam and want to switch between the two as well.
I still use native Sony HVL flashes for action work, but these are great for EDC/relaxed events.
[NOTE]: For my uses nothing changed after firmware, so this is optional, they worked great out of the box with the 1.07 firmware for me as well.
Steps:
1. Install and open the Godox Firmware Installer, also extract firmware zip
2. Change language to ENG if you want, hit Local File, select the iT32_V1.14 bin file from the zip folder
3. Power on iT32
4. Hit menu and scroll up to 3 bar menu setting icon
5. Scroll all the way right and hit Device Info
6. Connect USB and update firmware option should appear, hit it and it'll go into the update mode
7. After Godox firmware installer detects connection, hit update and it should update.
8. After it finishes you can just disconnect everything and power everything off.
9. If you power on the X5 hotshoe controller and connect and power on the iT32 separately, it should auto-update the firmware on the X5
