Medal of Honor Recipient, Colonel(Ret) Walter J. Marm. Battle of Ia Drang November 1965. He is honoring "the Panel" that has those heroes on it. He is immortalized in the movie "We Were Soldiers Once....... And Young"

Very touching, Dan. The reflection on the wall of the soldier saluting is almost like the ghostly figure of a fallen soldier is saluting back to the colonel.

Thank you Charles! This composition provided some very "ghostly" views after I edited it in ACR.
The flower bouquet's reflection is ghostly in appearance. The uniformed soldier's reflection was greatly enhanced when I added contrast.
My view of this when taking the image did not show all the "contents" that we are seeing now!
I'll take it!
Thanks Charles!

Nice, Dan. I like to get surprises like that. It makes photography interesting!
Wow, this is a fantastic and powerful image of an inspiring guy (I read more about him) - sent a shiver up my spine. This should be published somewhere. Perfect for the day.

It is Jim. "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young: la Drang(pronounced "Ya Drang")- The Battle That Changed the War in Vietnam is a 1992 book by Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore and war journalist Joseph L. Galloway about the Vietnam War."
Then the movie version starring Mel Gibson.
Both extremely factual in their presentations.
