After many months of shooting at the same pond you start becoming familiar with some of the wildlife habits, at least to some degree. At one of the ponds that I visit quite frequently I found that the majority of the Wood ducks congregated in one specific location. It’s funny that they tend to gather in this one spot each morning, spending most of their time grooming themselves or sleeping, but by mid-morning they are gone to other parts of the pond.
On this morning, I was fortunate to have caught them all there before they left and was able to get a few shots.
