The annual parade at San Marcos, which is part ot the town's fair week, was an all-day event. The morning featured floats, some horses, and lots of kids, watching and participating. The afternoon was the "hipico", where people came with their horses from different parts of the country and from Nicaragua. This year, so many horses participated that many felt it was risky to let their kids ride in the main horse parade, so they opted for the morning session. Most of these images are from the morning session and focus on the kids' experiences.
