What an incredible collection! I just got back from a week in Yellowstone and finally landed a wolf shot I was genuinely grateful for — though setting it next to these, I'll humbly file mine under 'proof of life' rather than 'photography.' Honestly, I was thrilled just to see a wolf, let alone get a frame of one. These are the standards the rest of us aspire to.
Ironically, I had just bought the Z 400mm TC lens and hadn't used it before - ever. Fortunately, I was able to set it up in a hurry and actually mount my gear on a tripod, when the wolf walked by about 50-75 yards away.... I had thought I won the lottery capturing this image.... Lots more work to do......
