For comparison:

100-400 GM. 1395g, 3.7x8.07" (retracted)
200-600 G: 2115g, 4.39x12.52"
new 100-400: 1840g, 4.75x13".

So it's even longer than the 200-600?

I see it now...

Maximum magnification of 0.25x, along with the 2.1-4.9' minimum focusing range, suits working with close-up subjects at near-macro magnification.

So not as good as the 0.35x of the current 100-400mm GM. That will probably drive my purchase or not
