My watchlist for Leica turns up multiple posts for the sale of the Q series cameras on a continuing basis. Is it the fixed focal length, the attractive entry price to Leica, or other factors in play here reflecting the numbers of turnover I’m seeing.
I think the move by folks moving from the Q2 to Q3 with the higher pixel count and added tilt screen accounts for some of the activity but it sure seems there’s lots of Q’s for one to choose from.
I have the Q2 and find I use it more than I expected despite having M and SL cameras. I suspect the user turn over in the Q series is due to wanting the higher resolution of the later models. The 28mm lens is amazing and is common across the series. The camera images are expected to be cropped to the desired field of view. The frame lines in the EVF show 35mm/50mm and longer (depending on model) and Lightroomn will automatically crop the image to the frameline setting. Higher resolution allows longer focal length fields of view to be practical.
