After spending 4 days with Ruth Hoyt, the resident pro at Laguna Seca Ranch in Texas, I lent her my new 50-200 for her trips to Columbia and Costa Rice.
This is her report to me:
"The 50-200mm f/2.8 lens is absolutely amazing. It focuses faster than any of my other lenses and I used it exclusively when I was in Costa Rica, photographing closeups of frogs and other small creatures one night. I didn’t do what you asked, to photograph using the 50-200mm and compare it to any other lens. There was no need."
Ruth does not use TCs very often and probably has every lens OM Systems/Olympus makes. She typically shoots an OM1ii/150-400. She was previously a Canon aficionado.
