About this camera:
The M11 is a remarkable camera with exceptional build quality and outstanding image quality. The Silver Chrome finish is beautiful and (in my opinion) more desirable than black. This is the most expensive item I've ever purchased and I've tried to take excellent care of it. The camera shows no visible cosmetic wear or brassing and has approximately 2,400 actuations based on file numbers (I use it deliberately, like a film camera).
The camera works perfectly and has been an absolute joy to use. I'm completely happy with it and the M system. this is truly a special camera that I would be perfectly content to continue using.
One note for transparency: There is a dust spot on the sensor that was present when I purchased the camera new. It's only visible at narrower apertures (e.g., f/8+) against plain backgrounds like sky, and is easily removed in post-processing or with a sensor cleaning. I didn't want to wait months sending it to Leica, so I've just worked around it. I'll include a photo example in the listing so you can see what I mean.
Why I'm selling:
I'm only listing this to explore upgrading to the M EV1. Over time using the M11, I've discovered that I prefer working with an electronic viewfinder for focusing and framing precision, especially with my 90mm and 21mm lenses. I often have the Leica Visoflex 2 mounted on the M11 and, ideally, would like to have it built in. If it doesn't sell, I'm perfectly happy to keep using this excellent camera.
