p.1 #1 · Settings for indoor sports

The gym I go to is having an event and I am going to help out the owner of the gym and take some photos. I am doing this as a friend so no money involved (and I am just a hobbiest)

Wondering for those who shoot indoor sports like basketball (or weightlifting) what settings are you using?
Not planning any artistic imagery .. this is just capturing the experience for those who participate.

Event will take place Indoors with 18’ ceilings and is Crossfit - for those who don’t know what this is, there will be olympic weightlifting, gymnastics (large rig for pull-ups) Rings hanging from the ceiling, as well as stuff like burpees, box jumps, handstand pushups, etc.

I plan to use my OM1M2 and 12-40/2.8 Pro II. Plan to shoot jpegs only. Last year all the photos taken by people were only posted to instagram. (I plan to make every image avail on a free flickr acct). I can get pretty close to people so don’t feel the need to take a tele (and my fastest is f4)

I plan to shoot wide open
L1 is Medium Focus Target, S-AF, Sequential (10FPS) (stupidly OM won’t allow different drive modes) , Center-Weighted Metering, Face Detection
L2 is Medium Focus Target, C-AF, Sequential (10FPS), Center-Weighted Metering, Face Detection

For both, WB Auto, ISO Min SS 1/250

Wondering if I need Anti-flickering (no fluorescent bulbs) or tweak the C-AF Sensitivity

Thanks for any advice
