I wouldn’t mind making the Thypoch simera c into an AF lens. snegron7 wrote:
Awesome. Now we will finally have access to inexpensive lenses like Leica. (Insert rolling eyes emoji here)

I still have my Techart adapter like this for Sony, and it’s fun to play with here and there (especially with some of the Voigts, old M42 mount lenses with M adapters stacked, and some interesting Chinese lenses).
Although there are some significant limitations like the limited available portions of the frame you can actually achieve AF in (usually limited to central zone with most lenses), and the field curvature that is induced on many lenses when adapted this way due to differences in sensor stacks, it’s definitely still fun to play with.
If this thing proves to do better with the Canon R5ii than anything I’ve gotten with the Techart on Sony (AF performance-wise), count me in for a Megadap (even if field curvature is an issue).

And I have the Nikon version. If it works, it’s great, but you need good light and contrast. If you don’t have that, it’s just a heavy manual adapter to add to your kit, esp compared to the manual-only TT Artisan 6-bit.

EF doesn't make any sense here. Perhaps this was meant to be FD?
Using this with adapter stacking for FD or F mount lenses could be interesting if it magically adds programmable Exif data and some rudimentary autofocus, I think.
