In particular, hotspots, sharpness, flare, etc. Could not find any reports on Google.

I can not answer with regards to the 7-14 since it is just released.

On the other hand I tested the EF 8-15 and found hot spots start at

Kolari Vision 720 F22
Kolari Vision 850 F16
Kolari Vision 1000 F11
