I can only comment as a viewer Jeff. I suck at "portrait photography".
Your use of side lighting is excellent in #1! Her facial line is displayed very well.(sharp jaw line) Nice sharp, well defined bone structure and her skin texture is "warming". Very nice depth in #1 also.
#2 is also very well done BUT I find the "light streak" distracting. That is just me and I am not denigrating the composition at all.
Nice emotion displayed in 1&2 also.
The last one appears to be using a soft focus to emphasize an ethereal look.
Thank you Dan! I was trying to get that light line to pass through her eye without much luck. The first two were shot close with a 50mm f/1.2 and the final shot was with a 70-200mm at f/2.8 to gain some better compression.

I appreciate the feedback!
Have you tried b&w on this image? It may surprise you!
Black and white portrait photography focuses on light, shadow, texture, and emotion to create timeless, intimate images, often by highlighting facial features and removing color distractions. There are very many techniques for b&w that color wont show......high contrast, dramatic lighting, sharp focus on the eyes.
Good luck!
Dan
