I've shot a lot on instax mini as I bought a multipack when the Neo Classic was released. Bought that because Fuji implied it could create higher quality images than their cheap, coloured blob Instax cameras (spoiler alert - it is just as crappy).
Anyway, because of being so disappointed by the mini film, no way would I drop any amount of coin on another instax mini, let alone a $400 one. It's great that it has a real focus mechanism, an apparently decent exposure system and cute looks.
But the film is garbage. I just don't get why it is so small - Polaroid film was way bigger than this. And Fuji still sells Instax Wide film, so why on earth does this camera use the mini film?

My sister uses the mini film and turns them into Christmas ornaments. It's fun nonsense film, and that's the point of the whole thing.
Pretty sure her instax camera didn’t cost $400
So I guess she like the blue toned pics? But all kidding aside do you really think Instax is meant to be a nonsense film? Can you imagine if it was any good, like the decades older Polaroid emulsions?

It cost far less than $400. And I honestly have no idea if she notices the color shift. She's happy, and because she's my family, I'm also happy because my quality of life is better when she's happy. All kidding aside, I do think Instax is meant to be a nonsense film. Looking at what that thing produces, there's no way a reasonable person would take Instax seriously.
I can't imagine it being any good.

What? You guys don't think the world was crying out for a fussy little RF Instax camera? $400 seems like a bargain to me, but I'm holding out until I can order a blue one. The other colors are inferior and will no doubt taint my response to its use.

I would have been all over this - like chez on a film is doing great thread - if it used Instax Wide film.
