Hello from Hyde Park in Chicago! We've had some beautiful weather around town recently, nice images. And always love the Agora sculpture. . .
I had a really nice time in the city over the weekend. Friday was beautiful, but as you know it got pretty chilly on Saturday and Sunday. Have many fond memories of Chicago as a billion years ago I went to College just a couple hours away and visited the city often. I come to the city every year at this time for a conference and fall in love with the place again each year.
We had the opportunity to watch a puma hunt. She wasn't desperate, I think she would have made it had she been more strongly motivated, but it was still captivating. We were positioned down slope from the guanaco, and the cat was approaching from above. I removed the TC because I fully expected to have too much lens should the hunt actually commence, but alas that didn't happen. The guanaco lived another day.

Wow, the puma is very well camouflaged, it took a while to find it.
Three weeks ago the crocuses broke through but it was not warm or sunny enough for them to bloom. One week ago they bloomed, 5 days ago we received a foot of heavy wet snow. Yesterday the snow finished melting and the crocuses reappeared with another batch and they bloomed again. By this Weekend they may be under snow again as 2-3 inches is predicted.
