Greetings, I think this is my first post in the People forum...I am currently in India leader tiger/wildlife safaris, and my clients decided to change up the itinerary a bit so we headed to the Taj Mahal...little did we know that it was Eid and thousands of Muslims would be coming to pray. Being at the Taj Mahal on Eid was not only interesting, but surreal. What a great cultural experience for me and my guests! ***We were told it was 100% fine to photograph people.
Indian, currently living in the US. I can understand your feelings. "Surreal" would be an understatement for somebody (may be not you but for some of your guests) that have never experienced India. And the timing would have multiplied the effect by a notch. Great photographs of the event and the post processing is great, emphasizing the people and not the location. Hope you guys had a safe trip!

WOW Jason, these are really well presented compositions! Your toning is superb! Everything is so sharp, crisp and clean! The detail in the structures is superb!

Thank you for the comments! I've shot over 600 weddings and over the years have made so many b/w presets my heads could explode. But this one is one of my favorites. Of course its just a starting point.
Also the day before, a lot of rain poured and a huge fog came in the morning. It really added to the atmosphere. It did lift mid day.
Very nice pictures and beautiful work, really love seeing other countries along with the people and the buildings are magnificent. I'm ""hoping"" to do a tiger shoot soon in the snow or possible the middle of the river however I'm a little scared I might be lunch. Again, beautiful work.
What an experience! The pics are great. I would have added a touch more contrast but this is quite personal and does not affect the quality of these pics.
