Caught a strong aurora display a couple nights ago with vivid reds stretching across the horizon. A small pond in the foreground gave me a clean reflection to work with, along with silhouetted trees and low hills to anchor the scene. The bright red glow pulsed and shifted through the night with periods of pillars reaching up into the sky.

Stunning pics!
I appreciate your positive feedback, thank you! I felt the inspiration while there at the time and really liked finding that water to capture the reflections too!
I appreciate the kind words thank you Igal! I got that alert too, then another about 15 minutes after the first. I took a gamble and headed out. Luckily this spot only takes me about 15-20 minutes to get to. These were taken in the Eagle/Gypsum area of western Colorado.

really stunning! I got the notice on the phone but I live in the Southwest so it was out of the question. Where were these taken?

Well maybe there will be some more opportunities this spring and summer. It's nice to have the apps that alert you now. You probably have some great dark sky areas outside Albuquerque and around the state that would make for great areas to shoot.

The stars make these stand out so much. Great shots. Mine from downtown Denver weren’t nearly as well done
Appreciate that! And honestly, just being able to catch it from downtown is pretty amazing—those conditions aren’t easy. I had the advantage of darker skies on this one. I also like the stars and how it fades from the aurora to the crisp dark sky.
