After my lunch break at State Line Lookout I returned to the overlook and while talking with another photographer who was there for the first time I spotted a Peregrine Falcon on the top of the Hudson River Palisades. I could see The Bronx and Lower Manhattan in the background and while hazy, I still liked the seen so I took the photo. The other photographer stated he was going to walk up the road and see if he could find a view and I told him I knew exactly where to go. When we arrived we had an OK view with a bit of obstruction by some foliage. We shot there, then went further up the road and had some clean shots yet from too far so I went back and this time climbed on top of the rock wall and sat down taking photos. I was still blocked a little and then set my tripod up with two legs on the wall and one of the ground. This was near perfect as I had a small hole with a great view.
Comments and suggestions welcome,

1) Falcon on the rocks
2) The gnats were out
3) The falcon looked back for a moment
4) And then preened
5) It squacked at a vulture that was getting close to it's nest
